Why should I participate in a class this summer?
At First United Methodist Church, we take seriously Jesus’s commission to “make disciples of all nations” as stated in Matthew 28:19. In fact, our vision statement is “Growing Disciples Who Make a Difference.” Put simply, our desire is to become more like Jesus. And for many of us…there’s just more time in the summer!
When are these classes?
The classes below will meet on Wednesdays at 6:30pm in the Multi-Ministry Center building. The display in the lobby will direct you to the specific room.
Will there be childcare?
Yes! Children may be dropped off in MMC room 116 (bottom floor).
What is the summer schedule?
- June 6 – classes begin meeting in the Multi-Ministry Center (MMC) building
- July 4 – no classes for Independence Day

Facilitated by Bethany Keith and Bruce Nettleton
Many of us might be able to recall certain Bible stories we know by heart. But do we know how those stories fit together? Do we know the one story of the Bible? If not, this class is for you! Taught by Sandra Richter, The Epic of Eden explores the story of God bringing his wayward people into his family. This is a core Stepping Stones class!
Facilitated by Bob Keith
Participants that engage the teachings of Dave Ramsey in FPU will learn biblical concepts of stewardship as they make a budget, save money, get out of debt and even give! This class will encourage you to “Live like no one else now so you can live like no one else later.” Highly recommended for high schoolers on up!
Facilitated by Pam Rye
Ever feel like your life is so cluttered that you aren’t able to give God what you want to give Him? You are encouraged to join this class and “clean out your spiritual closet!” As you dive into the Bible, Pam Rye will help you learn God’s truth about letting go of things you don’t need in your life — then having the room to let God pour into you. Women of all ages are encouraged to participate!
These classes will meet on Wednesdays at 6:30pm in the Multi-Ministry Center building. Contact the church office (859-623-3580), the class leader or Jamie Jordan (email@example.com) to reserve your spot!
