Read: Daniel 2:20-22

Fear of the darkness is almost universal among humans.  As we grow into adulthood, we pretend to have outgrown it, but it never really goes away.  A room isn’t really more dangerous with the lights off than it was before you flipped the switch, though. The fear of darkness is really just a fear of the unknown, the things we can’t see.  Daniel reminds us that, while we may not know what lurks in the night, our God certainly does.  We can rest in the fact that a God who loves us has eyes on everything around us, even when we cannot see clearly ourselves.
