The Emerge youth at Richmond First United Methodist Church have many exciting events going on around the holidays this November and December. See below for the schedule so you don’t miss out on anything!

  • Wednesday, Dec. 13 — Progressive Dinner (6-8 p.m.; there is no WNL meal in the gym this night)
For our progressive dinner, we break into three groups and travel to homes of generous church members, and each family feeds us one course of a meal (one group might start with dessert and then get an appetizer and then get the main dish last). There’s no meal at church this night; we’ll need youth here at 6 p.m. to arrange groups and get into leaders’ vehicles to leave. We’ll be back at 8 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Dec. 19 — Star Wars: The Last Jedi with the church (9:55 a.m. at Richmond Centre; lunch TBD after)
We’ll buy tickets ahead of time so we can all go to this $5 showing of the new Star Wars movie. You’ll need to RSVP (email to Jonathan at youth@richmondfumc.org) by Wednesday, Dec. 13
  • Wednesday, Dec. 20 — Caroling with the Church (6-8 p.m.; dropoff/pickup in Fellowship Hall)
This is being coordinated by the congregational care team (Rindy Russell) and the music ministry (Donna Hale), but it’s a lot of fun as we join with adults and children to visit those in our church family who can’t get out and sing carols to them on their doorstep or in their living room.

Have questions about any of these events? Ask Jonathan (youth@richmondfumc.org)!
