Regular Wednesday-night classes are over for the spring semester, but you can still come out on Wednesdays for meals and activities through the end of June! See the schedule below to find out what’s on tap each week. For each meal, there is a suggested donation of $5 for adults and $3 for children.
May 10: Talent show
Come eat at 5:15 p.m., then stay and watch the children and youth of our church display their talents from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the children’s camp at Aldersgate this summer.
May 17: Spaghetti dinner for Haiti
Eat a spaghetti dinner cooked by the men’s ministry at 5:15 p.m., and spend some time experiencing what a mission trip in Haiti is like. Proceeds will benefit two groups going on mission trips to Haiti in June and July. *A VBS volunteer meeting will also follow this, at 6:30 p.m. May 17, in the Hartman Room.
May 24: Movie night to support missions scholarships*
A lasagna dinner from 5-6:30 p.m. will be followed by a showing of a recent popular island-themed movie at 6 p.m. Proceeds will go to the Missions Scholarship Fund.
(*Emerge youth are at the Bouldens’ house for a pool party this night)
May 31: NO MEAL (VBS begins)
There is no meal this Wednesday, but it is the first night of our “B.A.S.I.C.” Vacation Bible School program. Register here, or contact children’s director Cheryl Muncy (firstname.lastname@example.org) to find out more or to get involved.
June 7: Church-wide game night
Come eat a meal from Adrianna Francis at 5:15 p.m., and then stick around to play board games or card games with your church family. Bring your own favorite game to play! We’ll also have half the gym available for basketball/pickleball/ping-pong/etc.
June 14: Movie night
Come eat at 5:15 p.m. and then watch a live-action movie of a classic animated tale at 6 p.m.
June 21: Movie night with the church staff
Come be served a meal by the church staff at 5:15 and then watch an epic feature film from a galaxy far, far away at 6 p.m.
June 28: Interactive movie night with the youth
Eat a meal at 5:15 and then experience a 2010 animated kids’ movie like never before. Don’t just watch it — taste it; feel it; be surrounded by it!
